To the Class of 2021

Duluth East All Night Grad Party (ANGP)

Seniors, we know things are uncertain and unpredictable these days as we all face challenges during the pandemic, but we are working to recognize your graduation from East in a special way. The ANGP Committee is planning for three scenarios:

  • in person as in previous years
  • in person, but modified for social distancing
  • not in person, but a special senior gift similar to last year

We will update this website with information as our plans develop in accordance with health & safety guidelines from the school district and the Minnesota Department of Health. Please check back often.

ANGP History

The concept of the all-night chemical free graduation party was started by a principal over 30 years ago in response to a graduation night tragedy that resulted from partying, alcohol, and driving. With that in mind, the goal of the Duluth East All-Night Graduation Party (ANGP) is to give our seniors a memorable and SAFE celebration with their classmates as their final hurrah. Note that this safe and chemical free party is NOT a school sponsored event.

The (usual) Plan

If circumstances allow, the all-night party will be held immediately following the graduation ceremony at the DECC. You’ll have lots of things to do! Come experience the fun for yourselves! All-night entertainment, food, prizes, t-shirt and transportation to the event. Dismissal is at 3 or 4am (TBD). We’ve had great attendance in prior years and we encourage all seniors to attend and enjoy this last get-together with classmates.

We are aiming for 100% participation. If anyone needs financial assistance, please contact your high school guidance counselor.

NOTE: On April 1st the registration fee goes up from $50 to $60 per student — Register before April 1st!!

Volunteer

This event would not happen for our seniors without the support of parents of students in all grades.  Please check out the volunteer opportunities, both before and during the night of the party.
